Private Lakeside Retreat perfect for family gatherings Located on the shores of Shuswap Lake between Sorrento and Blindbay, this 'cabin' sits in a private, parklike 2.5 acres with 200 feet of lakeshore. Originally built as a log cabin in the 1920s, the house was completely rebuilt in 2010. The current 4200 square foot residence is completely upgraded and expanded, but retains much of the rustic charm of the original logs that still form the heart of the house. The house is set well back from the road for quiet and privacy. It has six bedrooms and four full bathrooms on three floors and comfortably sleeps 16. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master-suite overlooking the lake. This room has a queen size bed and a private bathroom, as well as laundry. There is another full bathroom, a bedroom with a full size bed and a bedroom with twin bunk beds. On the main floor you will find the bright, fully equipped kitchen, dining room overlooking the lake, large well appointed living room and screened porch overlooking the lake. The main floor also has a bathroom with a shower, and a sleeping porch with three sets of twin over full bunk beds for a sleeping capacity of nine. Downstairs is another large living area perfect for games as well as an exercise room with beautiful view of the lake. This level also has another full bath, laundry facilities and two bedrooms with queen size beds. Sleeping arrangements: Bedroom 1 queen bed; Bedroom 2 queen bed; Bedroom 3 twin bunk beds; Bedroom 4 three twin beds (upper bunks) and three full beds (lower bunks); Bedroom 5 queen bed; Bedroom 6 Queen bed. Property location - the property is right on the lake, a short walk from Shuswap Lake Marina for easy boat launch and boat rental. The public boat launch is nearby in Blind Bay. The property is equipped with a new mooring buoy and dock for quick access to one of British Columbias finest lakes.
- July & August bookings are weekly only. 3 & 4 day bookings are usually available in spring and fall - Linens are not included in any rental. Basically anything that goes in a washing machine is not included. Blankets and/or duvets/other bed covers, and pillows are included. - Lake water level changes throughout the summer. It may be high May through early July and low towards the end of summer. We cannot guarantee the amount of beach at any given time or dock availability due to variable water levels.
